Shelby was born and raised in Indiana, where she currently resides with her husband, Isaac, and their 4-month-old son, Gabriel, on the family farm, raising corn, soybeans, cattle and sweet corn for a local distillery. Shelby was a 10-year 4-H member, showing sheep and dairy heifers. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and is a proud and loyal alumna. Shelby has spent the past seven years working on farm policy issues, representing farmers and ranchers in many capacities, most recently with the American Farm Bureau Federation. She enjoys spending time with her family, is a big sports fan and loves animals.
